Admiral Sunrooms Completes Acquisition of K2 USA
(Ontario - CA) Admiral Sunrooms has announced the completion of its acquisition of K2 USA. Finalized in May of 2008, the transaction has brought together the US division of the world's leading conservatory manufacturer and the fastest growing sunroom manufacturer in America.
According to Ed Bloom, President of Admiral Sunrooms, "The acquisition of K2 USA is a response to customer demands for attractive living spaces that have a higher return on investment. The lull in the real estate market has many homeowners opting to stay in their homes and remodel, rather than trade up. Conservatory additions are a smart option for these people. They are less expensive than an actual home addition and they offer homeowners the additional square footage they want in a more dramatic, upscale living space."
In 2006, Admiral Sunrooms took the first step in plans to meet the growing national demand of sunroom products when they added an east coast manufacturing facility - Admiral East - in Lakewood, NJ. By acquiring K2 USA, they are, once again, demonstrating that Admiral's business momentum and awareness in the marketplace has and will continue to increase in the coming years.

K2 USA will continue to trade separately under its own name and its corporate headquarters will remain in Holland, MI. Additional terms of the acquisition were not announced.
